About Us

Here at Cooper Historical Windows, we are dedicated to preserving history while being architecturally respectful. We preserve original window frame, sash and trim whenever possible, reproducing new components only where required by matching the exact details of the original window. Cooper Historical Windows is a leading resource for accurate restoration and replication of period windows, offering our flat Liberty Restoration Glass made in house. We can build insulated glass units that look antique but offer the highest energy ratings available. Cooper Historical Windows designs for climate change and sustainability, combining time-honored traditions with the latest technologies to produce historically accurate, energy-efficient wood and steel windows.

Our leadership team is involved in every project we undertake, working personally with clients and design and construction professionals to assemble and direct the best team and approach for our client's requests. Years of successful projects and satisfied clients are a testament to our high-quality work and professionalism. We understand that each project is unique, and we are responsive to diverse program requirements. Offering full design services, installation, and finishing, we take your ideas from concept to completion.

“I believe that restoration is not only about the preservation of historic buildings, but the preservation of the craftsmanship that is required to save these significant structures. Walking through the ashes of a burned down 1780s cape, I managed to salvage the only survivor of that intentional fire; hand wrought nails. This was just one of many buildings prior to and since, unable to escape such a fate, and it awakened a passion in me. The possibility of breathing new life into homesteads that continue to exist in our landscape centuries after they were built became my calling. Over 40 years later, with the desire to produce our own entranceways, windows and moldings, with the same focus; first, to preserve history, be architecturally respectful and build windows to last the test of time, and second, to preserve the craft by passing on those skills to the next generation.”
